Netflix Enola Holmes is a crime, adventure and mystery movie based on a book of the same name by Nancy Springer. The film is all about the young teenage sister of world-famous detective Sherlock Holmes. Netflix Enola Holmes is directed by Harry Bradbeer and the movie is written by Jack Thorne. In Netflix Enola Holmes the title character is played by Millie Bobby Brown who also turns out to be the producer of the film. The cast of Netflix Elona Holmes also consists of Henry Cavill, Sam Claflin, Adeel Akhtar, Fiona Shaw, Frances de la Tour, Louis Partridge, Susie Wokoma and Helena.

The film Netflix Elona Holmes is streaming from 23 September 2020. Daniel Pemberton had been hired to compose the movie's score.

Plot - Netflix Enola Holmes

It is the 16th birthday of Enola Holmes (Millie Bobby Brown). She wakes up to find her mother is missing leaving no notes behind. She calls her brothers Sherlock Holmes (Henry Cavill) and Mycroft Holmes (Sam Clafin) in order to find her. They fail to recognize her when she goes to collect them at the railway station, as they have never been home for quite some years. Enola has been always with her mother and she made Enola like her( not knowing the basic things which most girls do like embroidery or shell crafting, but she is taught to read, fight, science and all other stuff which we don't see in ordinary people). Mycroft is not happy with the way his little sister has grown up and decides to admit her in a 'finishing school for young ladies'( a place where girls are taught to be made a perfect wife and mother). But as unique and independent as her mother Enola escapes from her brother and the journey starts in finding her mother. Escaping the home gets her trapped in more problems which she slowly, steadily using the knowledge passed by her mother solves it. More characters are revealed further as the movie goes on connecting with political affairs. So does she finds her mother? Are there more secrets to be revealed? Why her mother left or is she kidnapped? 

Review - Netflix Enola Holmes

The character Enola herself is the story-teller in this adventure and no wonder she was excellent throughout. Millie Brown is beautiful as all we know but also the character is a delight to watch. She perfectly nailed the role of a young English girl of not so girly type. When talking about the acting Sam was very good, Henry brings charm to the screen with his presence and Louis was also appreciable.

The editing of the film was quite good and matched with the theme of the movie. The background score by Daniel was also up to the mark. Though the story of Enola Holmes is about solving the mystery but not the way we see as in Sherlock Holmes. Don't expect for a hardcore case to be solved rather a simple, sweet and somewhat realistic story and also with a message. The scenes showing the 80s era of England, the DOP and the cinematography was so mesmerizing and a treat to the eyes. 

The movie is more of an adventure type with the same tone from start till end. Harry Bradbeer the director has put various emotions throughout the film. I will call it a detective story in a fairy tale manner but please mind the character Enola, she is a badass young woman!

Who should watch this movie?

• As said above don't expect for a deep crime detective solving story or expecting some twists and turns.  Netflix Enola Homes is easy on the eye movie. A movie filled with an exciting experience, mother-daughter love, bit action, crime and moments to laugh, cry and placing a broad smile at your face. You should surely take care of not missing this.
